Paul McCartney's new 'Out There!' tour, newly revealed this morning and only hours old from its initial announcement Wednesday, has already been expanded, the former Beatle just confirmed.
McCartney in an update on his website and through social media confirmed he will be performing at Vienna's Happel Stadium on June 27. The concert will be McCartney's fourth show in the Austrian capital. His last visit was in 2003 on the Back In The World Tour. He first played there 20 years ago as part of the 1993 New World Tour.
The Vienna show is in addition to the National Stadium show in Warsaw, Poland, on June 22, which was announced earlier today.
McCartney made it official Wednesday that he will be “Out There!,” as it's now called, for a series of new concerts this year. The new tour name takes over from the “On the Run” tour, which began at New York's Yankee Stadium on July 15, 2011, and ended in at Rexall Place in Edmonton, Canada on Nov. 29, 2012. Additional shows for "Out There!" are in the works, McCartney said.
Ticket details for the new shows will be announced soon, the website said.
In February, McCartney revealed he would headline the diverse lineup at this year's Bonarroo Festival, also in June.
Recent rumors have had McCartney negotiating for shows in Brazil and South America. But nothing has been confirmed in either country yet or anywhere else beyond the shows initially announced.
