Umm...
Hugh Jackman has just signed on to star in a film wherein he will play a man with testicles on his chin. That oughtta help those gay rumors, huh? The film is a "sketch comedy movie" featuring segments directed by 17 different directors and features an all-star cast. As of now, the film's untitled, but...oh, who am I kidding: you just want to hear more about what the hell Hugh Jackman is thinking, right? We've got more details below, my gentle Examiner readers...
This news broke a few days ago, but in all honesty, I'd forgotten to report it. The situation is this: Hugh Jackman has just signed on to a film where he'll play a dude out on a date with Kate Winslet's character, a man who has testicles hanging from his chin. Do you even care what the movie's about, or have you already bought tickets?
The film's a sort-of anthology flick, featuring 17 different segments directed by as many different directors. And, from the sounds of it, they've line up on helluva cast. Here's the current cast list according to Cinematical:
Some of the folks already signed up to participate include Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet, Gerard Butler, Elizabeth Banks, Liev Schreiber, Johnny Knoxville, Seann William Scott, Tony Shalhoub, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Chloe Moretz, [Naomi Watts, Justin Long, Sam Rockwell], and Patrick Warburton. These folks will appear in different sketches that will be directed by names like Peter and Bobby Farrelly, Brett Ratner, Elizabeth Banks, Griffin Dunne and Bob Odenkirk.
And, as for the sketch featuring Jackman, here's the description that News.com.au had for the sequence:
HUGH Jackman will be taking on his most challenging role yet, playing a man with genitalia attached to his face in a very risque comedy opposite Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet.
Jackman plays a man whose testicles are located under his chin and Winslet plays a woman who goes out on a date with his character.
For the time being, this comedy doesn't have a title, but if they're already this far along in the casting process, we can expect to have one shortly. The film is said to be something in the vein of Kentucky Fried Movie, the film made waaay back in the late 70's/early 80's by the former Kings of Comedy, John Landis and the Zucker/Abrams team (those're the guys that did the Hot Shots movies). Stay tuned for more on this particular project as it becomes available, my precious snowflakes.
