Some sketchy details from Matt Hurwitz: Those who attended include Paul McCartney, Eric Idle, Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty, Tom Hanks, producers David Foster and T-Bone Burnett, Dhani Harrison, Olivia Harrison, Anoushka Shankar, Joe Walsh and wife Marjorie Bach (sister to Ringo's Barbara). (We suspected Paul might attend.) We also were told Laurence Juber was there. Olivia also mentioned Gary Wright was there.
Matt says one of the Chamber of Commerce guys noted he had seen the Beatles in 1966 at Dodger Stadium. Olivia said she had, too.
The new record to released from Capitol is called "Let It Roll: Songs by George Harrison." It'll be out June 16, it's career spanning and rumored to have one rarity.
We also heard Olivia, Tom Hanks and Eric Idle spoke. Dhani said, "Hare Krishna" into the microphone.
UPDATE: Eric Idle mentioned George passed away at Paul's house. Idle joked that that's why he tends to avoid John Cleese's place, according to Keith Putney. Putney said a few hundred fans attended the ceremony.
