Motels have become a haven for families who have been displaced by lack of resources such as unemployment, low income and homelessness. Many agencies in Pennsylvania try to place families in hotels/motels when no other resources are available such as emergency housing, homes, or apartments. Keeping families together is a goal of many agencies but motel rooms create a crammed situation for the families.
Police will continue their investigation into this incident and more information will be released as it is learned.
