Emmy-winner Bryan Cranston has a lot to be happy this week as he just picked up his third consecutive win for his role as Walter White on the AMC drama "Breaking Bad."
Now the 54-year old actor has revealed that he will be hosting "Saturday Night Live" for the first time on Oct. 2, the second episode of the season. Cranston made the announcement during ESPN Radio's Mason and Ireland show, where he expressed that he is "so thrilled and excited" about the gig.
Although he is known nowadays for his more dramatic work, Cranston is also remembered by many for playing the dad, Hal, on the FOX comedy "Malcolm in the Middle" for seven seasons. He also showed his comedy chops prior to that with memorable roles on sitcoms like "Seinfeld."
"SNL" debuts its 36th season on Sept. 25, with the Bryan Cranston-hosted episode the following week.
