"Breaking Bad" is roaring to a close, and film director Rian Johnson directed the most recent episode "Ozymandias," which aired this past weekend. According to Slash Film on Sept. 16, Johnson allowed fans to see some behind-the-scenes photos and thoughts of him directing this huge episode.
Now, this was a huge episode so it made sense that "Breaking Bad" would bring in someone the caliber of Johnson to direct it. Johnson is the director of critically acclaimed movies such as "Brick" and "Looper," and has worked on the show before.
This episode opened with a giant gun battle that left Hank dead, Walt and Jesse irreparably broken, Walt's life completely torn apart, and an end that makes it look like things will go up in flames on the finale next week.
In the photos that Johnson shared on Twitter, he showed some nice photos of the actual shooting of the scenes, from the dolly tracks and wind machines to the photos of the cast and crew as well as some minor spoilers.
One of the best tweets from Johnson reminded the audience and fans that "Breaking Bad" has shot every episode of the entire series on 35mm film, almost unheard of in today's digital world.
Overall, this was Rian Johnson's third episode of "Breaking Bad" to direct, and with his Twitter feed, Johnson made sure to leave fans with a love letter along with one of the best episodes of the entire series.
