Walt gets into a car that is covered in icy snow, he doesn't have the keys so starting the car is a struggle. Police lights began to circle around the car, but thanks to the white covered windows the police don't see Walter. After finding the keys, he drives off.
Now in much warmer weather, Walt stops at a gas station to fill up the tank to his car. He makes a phone call via pay phone, posing as David Tate, a journalist, wanting to set up an interview with Gretchen and Elliott Schwartz. By passing as a journalist, Walter gets the details on their location. In the next scene, the Schwartz arrive home as Walter is already waiting for them there. Once they see him, Walter tells them he wants to show them something in his car.
Walter has the Schwartz's help him bring his millions inside. He asks them to give all his money to Walter Jr. when he turns 18, they don't agree at first but Elliot gives in. Walter doesn't leave without a good threat, revealing that he has hit-men watching their every move, in case they don't keep their word. The next scene reveals that Skinny Pete and Badger were the suppose "hit-men." Walter pays them, and asks if meth is still being sold. They tell him that they thought it was Walter who was still cooking the meth, saying it's the best they have ever had - Walter realizes it must be Jesse.
The next scene features Jesse, he is building a small wooden box and the scene is peaceful. The scene turns out to be either a flashback or a dream.
The flash-forward scene that has been shown before with Walter at a dinner and returning home to pick up the ricin is shown. Lydia meets with Todd, as Walter shows up and sits next to them asking for two minutes of their time. Walter tells them he has a new method of making an even better supply of meth. They don't accept his offer, so Walter leaves. Lydia then pours a packet of sugar on her tea, the camera zooms in on the sugar falling on the tea - hinting that it is ricin.
In the next scene, Marie calls Skyler at the house they are staying in. She lets her sister know that Walter has been spotted around town several times. Skyler doesn't appear to be very worried, and that's because Walter is already in her home. Walter tells her that it's over and he just wants a proper goodbye. He gives Skyler a paper with GPA coordinates of where Hank is buried. Walter then confesses that he did all this for himself, that he liked it and it all made him feel alive. Walter also tells her that after tonight everything will change.
Walter then goes to meet with the Nazi's, where he is allowed in and checked to make sure he does not have any weapons. His car keys are put into focus, and a previous scene comes to fan's minds: earlier, Walter was building a machine that he controlled with his car keys. Jack orders Walter to be killed, but stops them when Walt asks why they teamed up with Jesse. Jack has Todd bring Jesse in to prove to Walt that Jesse is a slave, not a partner at all. Once Jesse is inside, Walter tackles him and activates a gun machine that manages to kill everyone except him, Jesse, Jack, and Todd. Jesse takes care of Todd after though by chocking him. While Walter shoots Jack in the head. Walt then passes a gun to Jesse, telling Jesse to shoot him. Jesse doesn't shoot though, after seeing that Walter has been shot and is wounded, so he tells Walter to do it himself.
Lydia calls Todd, and Walter picks up to tell her goodbye, because he replaced her sugar with ricin. Jesse drives off. Walt stays behind and enters the lab. Police sirens are heard, but Walter doesn't bother running away, continuing to look at the lab materials. Walter lays on the ground dead as police enter.
