Fans of the show would believe this AMC’s “Breaking Bad” is very deserving of a Golden Globe due to its uniquely entertaining plot and dramatic twists performed by great actors and great supporting roles.

If you have not seen the show take a look at the synopsis here:

Walter White is a high school chemistry teacher in Albuquerque, New Mexico who recently discovers he is dying of stage three lung cancer. Walter White turns to a life of crime as a producer and distributor of methamphetamine in order to secure financial comfort for his family once he dies. With Jesse Pinkman as his right-hand man (also a former student) the two set out to earn money by manufacturing the best product on the market made popular by its high purity and blue color. Walter struggles to balance his life at home as a loving father of two with the life as a part-time gangster/dealer/producer/partner. Things go awry as the two salesmen encounter drug lords such as millionaire Gus Fring who wants to dominate the drug industry. Another wrench gets thrown into the mix as White’s brother in-law and one of the best DEA agents (Hank) starts to hunt “Heisenberg” also known as Walter White.

“Walter: Wait for what? What are you waiting for?
Skyler: The cancer to come back.”

Main characters:

Bryan Cranston as Walter White – a chemistry teacher diagnosed with Stage three lung cancer and starts a life of crime as a drug dealer. His efforts to gain money to support his family after his death becomes a selfish venture that leads to blood, death and despair of those around him.

Anna Gunn as Skyler White – Walter’s pregnant wife who is suspicious of Walter’s actions as his whereabouts become unaccounted for and his actions produce suspicion. She later discovers his secret and is distraught at the idea but eventually goes along with it after intimidation by her husband and deep consideration of her family’s needs.

Aaron Paul as Jesse Pinkman – An ex-student of Walter White, Jesse Pinkman is drug user and minor seller in the beginning. Once he teams up with Walter White things go from bad to worse. Jesse is portrayed as a guy who has lost his way in life and is striving to get it back but battles with the need to stay true to Walter White.

Dean Norris as Hank Schrader – An excellent DEA Agent and husband to Marie (Skylar’s sister), he becomes obsessed with getting the blue methamphetamine off the streets and hunting down Heisenberg to add to his list of accomplishments. Even when superiors demand he stop pursuing Heisenberg, Hank’s perseverance knows no boundaries. His persistence has a way of getting him into more trouble than her can foresee. With Heisenberg at his dinner table on the weekends, Hank commits all of his time to find him and in the end he does just that.
Betsy Brandt as Marie Schrader – It is revealed that Skyler’s sister is a kleptomaniac but a good wife to Hank. This character is not multi-dimensional and is very annoying to most viewers but is somewhat of a necessary annoyance as the plot progresses.

RJ Mitte as Walter White, Jr. – This character is Walter and Skyler's son, who has cerebral palsy. He is one of Hank’s motivational factors that gives him the gusto to earn money and leave plenty of finances behind. Walt Jr. becomes a very relevant character along the way and his impact on his father is impeccable. The teenager is very impactful, strong and very much on his father’s side of most of the argument’s until the last season in which Walter’s secret is exposed.

Giancarlo Esposito as Gustavo "Gus" Fring - A high level drug distributor who has a cover as an owner of a fast food chain Los Pollos Hermanos.
