“Breaking Bad” has only a couple of episodes left before the show ends for good and still the viewers have no idea in what direction Walt is going. After ordering the death of Jesse, it looks like he might have had a change of heart and is going after the Uncle Jack gang to get his young screwed-up partner, who is being held captive, according to IGN on Sept. 21.
It looks like Walt's family may be in danger in "Granite State" which is the second to the last episode of the entire series. "Granite State" is 75 minutes long, as is the finale episode next week. Check out the video preview of the episode above.
The only thing folks know for sure about the ending of the show is that Walt sits down alone in a diner on his birthday and arranges his eggs and bacon like Skyler used to do for family members on their birthday. But in this clip, which viewers saw a long time ago, has Walt without Skyler or anyone else, but he has hair!
Sunday night’s episode is titled “Granite State,” this is New Hampshire’s nick name, so it could be that Walt is headed deep into the New England wilderness. “Events sent in motion long ago move toward a conclusion,” this is how the episode is described on the Comcast Xfinity menu.
When Walt’s journey started out he made it clear through words and actions that he will do anything to provide for his family. In the beginning this meant breaking the law, but he had morals when it came to ousting people. That soon changed and people that got in his way or could potentially get in his way were killed.
“Family” was off limits for killing and he held that true to form as he screamed to Uncle Jack not to kill Hank because “he is family,” but Jack killed Hank anyway. Now Jesse’s life is in the balance, as he’s in the hands of the hired killers that Walt contracted to take out Jesse. It looks like Walt may have changed his mind.
Some of the side effects of Walt’s journey was that he became a legion in his own mind. This was evident in many things but he summed it up to Skyler in one sentence: “We are not in danger, I am the danger.” He became God-like acting at the height of his meth making.
Now he seems to be coming down from his self-constructed pedestal as reality is biting at his back. Now that he did all of this for his family, his family is torn from him as the DEA steps in. He can never go back because he made that bizarre phone confession with the DEA listening.
He was nasty to Skyler during that phone call as his last gift to her. He made sure that the DEA heard that Skyler had no idea about his meth business and he came off as a controlling husband threatening Skyler over the phone so the DEA knew he was in charge and manipulated Skylar.
Tonight’s episode can go many ways, but most are hoping Walt saves Jesse who is now held captive by Uncle Jack and his crew as they make him cook meth. Will he grab Jesse and head to the “Granite State” of New Hampshire on Sunday night’s episode?
