Walk into Walgreens and you will see it: Easter is nearing. The chocolate bunnies are out, the egg dye is busting off the shelves. Be prepared to celebrate the season of new beginnings this year with the Easter Bunny! Both the Brookfield Zoo and Morton Arboretum are hosting Breakfast with the Bunny.
The Brookfield Zoo will host the event March 23, 24, 30 with two seatings: 9 a.m and 11 a.m. The price of the ticket includes admission to the zoo, an all you can eat buffet, and photo opportunities with the Bunny! Membership has its benefits at the zoo, there is an eleven dollar difference in ticket cost: $40 for non-member adults and $29 for member adults.
The Morton Arboretum hosts Breakfast with the Bunny on Friday March 29th (Good Friday) and Saturday March 30 from 9-11 a.m. at the Ginkgo Restaurant. Membership perks reign supreme again for this event with cost of tickets at $33 for non-member adults and $26 for members.
Both the Zoo and Arboretum boast year long entertainment, events, and education for the whole family. In February the Arboretum hosted an event titled "Celebrating Chocolate" which appeals to moms, dads, and kids. The Zoo has special events each month like the Mother's Day Brunch or the Father's Day Barbeque; in June the Zoo will host Viva la Fiesta, with weekend activites focused on celebrating Hispanic culture all month. The simple fact is summer is just 55 (or so) days away - the Brookfield Zoo or Morton Arboretum will boost the family's summer vacation plans and lend some ideas for educational fun.
