Love to fish? Never fished in your life? Kids Fishing Day is a great opportunity. The event, hosted by the Breakfast Optimist Club of Farmington & Farmington Hills, is Saturday, July 24, at Carpenter Lake Nature Preserve in Southfield. The cost is $15 per child (ages 4 and older), and kids get to keep the fishing rod and reel they use.
