Today, I was inspired to write about the importance of eating breakfast. Earlier today, I was getting lunch at a cafe. I was eating outside and I overheard some women talking about how hungry they were. One of them admitted to not eating anything all day, it was already 2pm.
It is very important to eat breakfast to kick start your metabolism in gear to maximize the amount of calories you burn in a day. If you do not eat breakfast within about 2 hours of waking, your body goes into survival mode. It will slow down your metabolism and start storing fat and will burn off muscle. The body is made up of fat storage, which is a great supply of energy. Eating breakfast, one that contains healthy fats like avocado, will kick start your metabolism into burning the best fuel thats in storage which is fat. Fat is also the thing we are all trying to get rid of. Its a win win if we eat healthy fats because it gets the body to burn it more and leave your muscles alone to get lean and mean with your workouts.
The one meal of the day that you can eat a good amount of calories is breakfast. That means you have all day to burn off what you ate. It is better to eat something that is healthy that will benefit your metabolism and maintain your overall health.
