Oatmeal is a healthy food. The fiber in oats is even better for you than wheat fiber, and helps to lower cholesterol. In addition, it’s packed with vitamins, minerals, and protein, including iron, a bit of calcium and folate (an important and necessary vitamin, necessary for a healthy brain, red cell production, helping with depression, etc.) Add to the health benefits of oatmeal the fiber and vitamins from the raisins and apples, and baked oatmeal becomes a healthy way to start the day.
Here’s your perfect weekend breakfast or the way your kids will eat their oatmeal. It is absolutely delicious!
