- 3 cups bread, torn into small pieces & soaked in rum overnight2 cups whole milk

Method
Dice bread and combine with fruit or chocolate and spices. Saturate with rum. Mix well. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Combine melted butter, milk, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Whisk hard.
Place bread mixture in a lightly greased 1 1/2 quart casserole or individual ramekins (adjust cooking time as needed for individual dishes).
Pour batter over bread. Bake at 350°F for 45 to 50 minutes or until set. Serve warm.
