Brazilian takes on cold, claims sixth title at Walt Disney World Marathon (Results)

 embraced bone chilling weather and won his sixth straight title as the Walt Disney World Marathon champion this morning at Lake Buena Vista, Fl. The 31-year-old faced the chilliest weather the event has endured in its history, finishing the 26.2-mile trek in 2:22:08 with a 5:25 minute per mile pace.

Lisa Mizutani, 24, from Tsukuba, Japan, captured the top woman title with a finishing time of 2:51:18.

More than 23, 000 participants crossed the start line at the 17th annual Walt Disney World Marathon sponsored by CIGNA in all of 28 degrees. Today's weather was the  most likely cause to Bastos' finishing time being two minutes slower than his 2009 winning record.
