Luiz Felipe Scolari left no surprises for his national team selection on Wednesday. Brazil begun their World Cup campaign with 23 players as they look to earn the "hexa" this summer in their own backyard.
Toronto FC goalkeeper Julio César made history as he became the first Brazilian international to play in North America that will take part in the World Cup. Two surprises were the addition of Napoli man Henrique as well as the addition of Paris-St. Germain left back Maxwell.
There is also the exclusion of Kaká, who many thought would sneak in, but that was not the case for the AC Milan man. Also Maicon was added on despite the callup of Bayern Munich man Rafinha in the latter stages of the preparation process.
