People say that the hard won victory is the best victory. There are those who believe this to be true and others who scoff at this statement. However one Fort Smith restaurant proved that statement to be true when it finally opened in its new location on January 21st after almost six months of waiting.
Bravo has been serving fine Italian cuisine to Fort Smith residents for years. Towards the end of summer in 2012, plans were made to move Bravo's from their location at 4700 Rogers Avenue to a new location at the corner of 5th Street and Garrison Avenue in Downtown Fort Smith. Initially the restaurant was scheduled to open in November of 2012, however construction delays pushed the opening back to January of 2013.
The restaurant's reopening on Monday marked the end of a long journey for Bravo's owner Jim Webb, who had been planning this move since he became involved with Bravo's several years ago. Mr. Webb, who also owns Webby D's located at 509 Garrison Avenue, has been a staple in Downtown Fort Smith, so moving Bravo's seemed like the natural thing to do. While the restaurant has been open less than a week, Mr. Webb said that everything is great and he is happy to have the restaurant open in time for Valentine's Day.
