Ryan Braun returned to the Milwaukee Brewers today after serving a 65-game suspension to close out the 2013 season due to his involvement in the Biogenesis drug scandal.

The 2011 NL MVP was welcomed back by Brewers fans with a standing ovation as the Brewers dropped the Braves, 2-0, in Opening Day action today. Braun went 1 for 4 with a stolen base, and scored on Aramis Ramirez's two-run double.

The Braves collected just five hits on the day, as the offense was silenced by Yovani Gallardo's six shutout innings. Andrelton Simmons had two hits, but no Brave got past second base.

Julio Teheran got the nod for the Opening day start, giving up two runs in six innings. Teheran allowed seven hits and one walk, after being pressed into the start due to injuries by Kris Medlen, Mike Minor, Gavin Floyd, and Brandon Beachy - yes, four of the five starting pitchers that were penciled in for the Braves' rotation this season.

The series will continue with an 8 PM first pitch tomorrow night and Alex Wood taking the hill for the Braves, while Kyle Lohse will start for the Brewers.
