Veterans Week activities started yesterday with the dedication of the Traveling Vietnam Wall at the Welk Theatre. The wall will remain at the theatre throughout Veterans Week.

The Veterans Village opened today. Veterans waited in line to register for the week. The Veterans Village occupies two stores in Factory Merchants (Red Roof) Mall. The free lunches will be close by in another store.

Many activities are planned throughout the week including mini-reunions, a Blue Star/Gold Star lunch, the Rose Petal Luncheon honoring women veterans, a parade on November 11, and Tony Orlando's tribute show.

Shows and businesses are offering discounts for veterans.

The complete schedule for the week can be found on the Branson Veterans Task Force website, www.bransonveterans.com.
