Brandon Laventure of Airship Cinema, Lansing, announced December 29 a casting call for Airship Cinema’s next independent production ">1 (Greater than One.)". This is a call for three different roles in this feature length science fiction film. For these roles he is accepting head shots and resumes, and will do so until the right persons for each of the three open roles are found.. Principal shooting is scheduled for March 2014.
Entitled ">1 (read as Greater Than One)" this film is about the Tran-humanist ambition to grow beyond the limitations of the natural human bodies and even beyond an individual way of experiencing life. In this story, the test subjects experience a mind melding losing their individual personalities and acquire one mind, or perhaps something greater. A story about real emerging technologies which stand to make an enormous impact, ">1" is not just about the changing world in which we live, but on the dynamic nature of humanity.
Relates Laventure, “Our work so far has been primarily comedic, so “>1” will be a departure for us. We're (a) young and small (production company), but serious about the stories we want to tell, and dedicated to the art of narrative cinema.”
Continues Laventure “As we receive head shots and resumes from actors who look like they may fit the bill, we will contact them individually to arrange a meeting, at which point they'll read lines. No open audition; more of a one-on-one experience.”
The roles he is looking to fill:
• Gender: Female
• Age: Late 20s - early 30s
• Ethnicity: White
Vivaciously friendly and forward, with a hidden burden of regret and self-doubt, Madison volunteers herself as a test subject in a bold new experimental study.

• Age: 20s
• Ethnicity: Arabic, Pashtun, or other ethnicities with large populations in West Asia (Middle East) or Southwest Asia
• Does not need to be a native English speaker
