Brandon Howard: Son of King of Pop? Singer Brandon Howard's 'claim' is a sham

Brandon Howard’s so-called claim to fame – that Howard is the son of music legend Michael Jackson – has been revealed to be nothing but a fraudulent sham. As the late Jackson prophetically sang, “But the kid is not my son.”

According to eonline.com yesterday, and as the video above showed, the 31-year-old singer, who certainly does resemble the late King of Pop, was an alleged 99.9 percent match based on DNA testing.

As reported on by eonline:

Brandon Howard, a 31-year-old singer, may just be Michael Jackson's secret son. The crooner, who has a striking resemblance to the late legend, took a DNA test from a dental imprint revealing a 99.9 percent match to the King of Pop.

Dr. Joseph Goodman, a Beverly Hills dental surgeon, revealed the alleged results, and claimed he obtained a sample of Jackson's DNA from a dental device that had belonged to the "Thriller" singer and was purchased by Goodman at auction.

But it was all for naught. The so-called dental DNA results that purportedly proved within a tenth of a percentage point that Jackson fathered Brandon Howard were a “pathetic fake ripped straight from the Internet,” TMZ reported Friday.

If you are a Terminator fan with a keen eye, you may have even spotted a logo resemblance from the (non-existent) Ireland lab that reportedly tested and confirmed the DNA match. The logo was fictitious, and was taken from “Terminator Salvation.” No such lab can be found.

Howard, known as “B Howard,” released a statement denying he ever made the claim to be Jackson’s son, and stresses he never authorized his DNA to be tested for that possibility.

Via his manager Scott Broomfield, Howard said:

“To my fans, family, and friends, despite recent allegations, I did not authorize the testing of my DNA to be compared to that of the late Michael Jackson nor did I contact TMZ regarding the publication of the story,” reads the statement.

“This spring, I agreed to be a part of a documentary with FilmOn TV and was asked to give a sample of my DNA. Even though I agreed to this I never expected it to be used in this manner. To this day, I have never claimed to be Michael Jackson's son nor do I have any intention of pursuing the family's estate,” Howard’s statement concluded.

There is a connection between Brandon and Michael however, sort of. Howard is the son of pop singer Miki Howard, who was represented by Michael’s father Joe Jackson in the 1980s.

Miki has three children, and her first, Brandon, was with her previous bandmate Augie Johnson.

Augie Johnson said Brandon is absolutely his kid. “I know Brandon's my son – I was there in the delivery room, I have the pictures of him being born. I got the records, I got everything.”
