It might be fun: Brandi Glanville, who stars in "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" has told producers of the show that she wouldn’t be upset if country singer LeAnn Rimes, the woman stole her then-husband, Eddie Cibrian, joined the popular Bravo reality TV show. The "offer" was first reported on Thursday.
For those who don't recall, Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes had an affair starting in 2009. Rimes was still married to Dean Sheremet at the time, and Glanville was married to Cibrian. Cibrian left Glanville, the mother of his two children, for Rimes.
In August of 2009, Cibrian filed for divorce in August 2009 after eight years of marriage to Glanville, and on April 22, 2011 Cibrian and Rimes wed at a private home in California.
Glanville and Rimes have feuded nearly constantly since then. As a very recent example, on Thursday, a letter that went from Rimes' publicist to the magazines Life & Style and In Touch was published. The letter was a rebuttal to statements Glanville made saying that Rimes needed to "get help."
Brandi might consider getting some help with her drinking. If you watch her show, read her book and follow her tweets, she is constantly referring to her drinking. Even the title of her book has the word drinking in it. In fact, she was arrested for a DUI. It is a fact that after a night of drinking in Vegas she married her ex-best friend's ex-husband.
Meanwhile, though, drama on a reality TV show is welcomed. It's a good thing that Glanville isn't against Rimes. It's been reported already that the producers of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" in hot pursuit of LeAnn Rimes, knowing that if she joined the cast it would seriously spice things up.
A source said:
Brandi is a very smart cookie and recognizes that if LeAnn were to join the cast, the audience would hate her even more. Brandi loves playing the victim and having LeAnn on the show would allow her to continue in that role as the long-suffering, spurned ex-wife.
Brandi wants to become Bravo’s next Lisa Vanderpump or Bethenny Frankel and have her own spin-off show; having LeAnn join the cast will almost cement that desire. Viewers love Brandi and her book has seen a very strong debut.
To this point, though, LeAnn Rimes has said "No, no, no." A show insider said:
Executives at Bravo have told LeAnn that appearing on the show would be a great opportunity for her to get her side of the story out and no longer be seen in a negative light. However, she has continued to shut the offers down, claiming she doesn’t want the added drama in her life, that she has a flourishing music career, and that she just doesn’t need to do a reality television show.
"RHOBH" has to do something: According to still another source, the list of those guaranteed to return for the next season is very short. It includes Lisa Vanderpump and ... Brandi Glanville.
