Brandi Glanville, star of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” and author of “Drinking and Tweeting and Other Brandi Blunders” says she realized husband Eddie Cibrian was cheating on her during a double date with LeAnn Rimes in 2009, Radar Online reported on Feb. 4.
In her memoir, Glanville recounts how she traveled to Calgary, Alberta, Canada where Cibrian was filming the Lifetime made-for-television movie “Northern Lights” to visit her then husband Eddie Cibrian.
Cibrian set up a double date in a sushi restaurant with LeAnn and then husband Dean Sheremet. Glanville recounts the uncomfortable dinner date:
“And this woman, whom I had just met, spent more time flirting with my husband than acknowledging her own. And Dean [Sheremet], bless his heart, ate his sushi, laughed at all the right moments, and pretended that he didn’t see exactly what was in front of him.”
Later on the same evening Glanville says that Rimes “awkwardly pulled my husband [Eddie] onstage for an “awful” karaoke rendition of “I Got You Babe.” At that point, Brandi says she “lost it.”
Glanville writes that while looking at Eddie’s smiling face “on that stupid low-rent stage” she leaned over to Dean and said, “You know they’re f***ing, right?” Brandi says Sheremet pretended not to see what was right in front of his face.
Glanville confronted Cibrian and Rimes immediately, and Rimes denied that the two were having an affair. Glanville returned home and stayed with Cibrian despite her doubts. When a weekly entertainment magazine posted footage of Eddie and LeAnn sharing a romantic dinner together and kissing at the table Brandi knew the marriage was over. Brandi and Eddie’s divorce was final in 2010. A year later Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes were married. The couple renewed their vows in 2012.
