Brandi Glanville claims she was too broke to seek medical treatment for hand

Brandi Glanville is one of the biggest stars of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" but she's claiming that she didn't have the money a few months ago to get medical help for her broken hand. In her Bravo blog entry posted on Tuesday, Jan. 28, she admitted that she didn't have health insurance then and didn't want to spend her money on treatment because she has two little boys to take care of.

"I broke my hand on a Thursday...I did not go to the doctor for a few reasons. First, I barely had any time to -- and second I didn't have medical insurance at the time. I had been trying for the last year to get medical coverage, but had been turned down because of a pre-existing condition. I have two little boys to take care of and I didn't want to waste my money on myself and have yet another reason to be turned down for insurance," she wrote.

Her reluctance and/or inability to pay out of pocket for treatment of her broken hand meant that it healed a little deformed.

Several readers of the blog wrote in saying that they're not buying her whole "poor single mom" excuse. They point out that she probably makes more money than most people and certainly seems to have enough money for her clothes, makeup, hair extensions, and other frivolous wants.

Brandi recently admitted that her and ex-husband were "ghetto rich," "living pay cheque to pay cheque, with no savings.”

At least now she has health insurance!

Do you think Brandi Glanville is just trying to get sympathy?
