Tired of using the same ol' haircare and body products you've always used? Check out Earthly Elements, a brand new collection of shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and body wash. Each product is available in Moroccan Vanilla, Island Jasmine, Hawaiian Ginger, and Brazilian Citrus scents.
These products are made without parabens, glycols, SLS, phthalates, silicones, EDTA, atrificial fragrances, and petroluem-based ingredients. With the exception of the Moroccan Vanilla shampoo and conditioner, all the Earthly Elements products are gluten free and 100% vegan. As if these products weren't already awesome for the environment, all the bottles are recyclable and they were decorated with eco-friendly sprays.
The products are packaged in vividly colored bottles, each adorned with a little charm around the neck of the bottle. The charms feature inspirational messages like JOY and WISDOM--so (no pun intended) charming!
The Hawaiian Ginger is the lightest scent of the bunch. It's more of a sweet ginger--it doesn't smell too spicy. The Brazilian Citrus smells like energy in a bottle, and Island Jasmine smells intoxicatingly divine and not too floral. My favorite of the scents is Moroccan Vanilla--it smells like the most scrumptious rice pudding you've ever tasted!
I've been using the Moroccan Vanilla shampoo and conditioner, and I love it. I'm allergy-prone and tend to sneeze around strong fragrances--but Earthly Elements products are a great choice for people with allergies. The scents are not overpowering and don't linger too long. The shampoo and conditioner made my hair clean and added a little volume...all without making me sneeze my face off (yay!). The product whose scent lingers on skin the longest is the body lotion, and even that hasn't set off my allergies at all.
I gave the Island Jasmine shampoo and conditioner to fellow Examiner Gail Angelo to try, and she reported that "While the fragrance was nice in the bottle, the scent wasn't overpowering when using it. The shampoo was not high-lathering, which is true of most 'natural' products. The more a shampoo lathers, the more stripping and drying it can be. The conditioner detangled well without being slippery--again, true of most natural products as they replace silicone with something more 'natural'... You gave me the moisturizing formula and it performed well."
