Branch 27 celebrates their heritage

Branch 27 may be a trendy restaurant today, but back in the 1900s it was filled with literary classics. Located in the former 27th Ward Public Library, Branch 27 is celebrating their rich heritage by teaming up with Open Books Ltd. for an on-going dinner series.

Starting October 14, Executive Chef John Manion will prepare a special three course Open- Branch menu. To continue the celebration of past and present, the menu will bring together modern and rustic cuisine. It will be available every Thursday and by simply enjoying the special three- course menu you benefit Open Books as a portion of every meal proceeds will go directly to the organization. An optional tasting portion wine flight will also directly benefit the program. Open Books is a non- profit organization that promotes literacy, community programs and manages a bookstore throughout Chicago.

In a world when all books are beginning to be read by scrolling rather than turning pages, it’s nice to celebrate the beauty and authenticity books bring to life.

Branch 27 is located on 1371. West Chicago Avenue, Chicago, IL 60642
