The special episode will reunite Henderson, with her co-stars Barry Williams (Greg), Christopher Knight (Peter), Mike Lookinland (Bobby) and Susan Olsen (Cindy). Ann B. Davis (Alice) and Eve Plumb (Jan) will deliver special videotaped messages to Henderson.
While Henderson’s TV husband, Robert Reed, died in 1992, the glaring mission from the reunion lineup is Maureen McCormick, who played Marcia on the series.
Last summer on an episode of “Oprah: Where Are They Now,” Susan Olsen talked about sibling rivalry among the cast members, and said, “I would say that the only thing that even comes close to genuine sibling rivalry would be between Eve Plumb, who played Jan, and Maureen McCormick, who played Marcia. We love them both. We just don't see the two of them together."
The trouble may stem from McCormick’s 2009 bombshell book, "Here’s The Story,” in which she dished behind the scenes secrets about the seemingly squeaky clean cast.
In a blog for XFinity TV, McCormick wrote, “I hate when there’s trouble in Brady land, and I especially hate that Eve seems to have a problem with me. I have no idea why unless she’s mad at the joke I made a few years ago that we’d had a lesbian love affair. I made the crack to be funny – and for shock value.”
Plumb’s publicist later told The New York Post that there was “no feud” between the former co-stars.
Whatever the reason, we’ll definitely miss Marcia Marcia Marcia on the TV reunion.
In addition to the cast reunion, TV Guide revealed that the famous “Brady Bunch” opening title sequence will be recreated with “Talk” hosts Julie Chen, Aisha Tyler, Sara Gilbert, Sheryl Underwood and Sharon Osbourne, and a chef will prepare a classic Brady dish. (Hint: Does “pork chops and applesauce” ring a bell?)
“The Brady Bunch” cast will appear on “The Talk” on Feb. 13 at 2:00 p.m. on CBS.
