According to Comic Book Movie on Dec. 7, in an interview with Bradley Cooper for the new film "American Hustle", he talks about his role of Rocket Racoon in James Gunn's "Guardians of the Galaxy". Cooper talks about the two different accents that both him and Gunn were considering for Rocket and also gives extreme credence to Chris Pratt as Star Lord.
"I wasn't familiar with the comic at all, and then I really loved it. I love that character, he's an incredible character. One thing we debated was he's seen as a cockney accent sometimes. So, we talked about whether we'd do that, or this other guy [accent] from the city".
Currently, Bradley and Gunn are deciding on which voice to choose for Rocket Raccoon.
"Guardians of the Galaxy" is basically a team of heroes that will be introducing fans to an arena that goes beyond Earth. Star Lord, played by James Pratt is the only earthling among the characters and they attempt to defeat foes together in what appears entail a bit of a "Star Wars" theme to the film.
A good mount of the movie was filmed on location in London and Gunn directed in the end tease to "Thor: The Dark World" at the very last minute to help transition the audience further into the phases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Gunn emphasizes the amount of practical effects he had used which included around 350 pounds of steal that makes up the set work. Most importantly, along with Cooper, Gunn highly emphasizes that Pratt will probably be one of the biggest stars in films in the next couple of years.
"Guardians of the Galaxy" releases in theaters on Aug. 1, 2014.
