Bradley Cooper rumors are 'nuts': Actor won't portray Lance Armstrong (Video)

Bradley Cooper rumors are circulating that the handsome actor is going to portray disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong in a new movie. For those fans, Cooper's or Armstrong's, who were excited by the idea, there's some bad news. It isn't true. According to a Jan. 27, 2013 report by Access Hollywood, Cooper called the rumors "nuts."

The actor didn't pussyfoot around the question at all. When he was asked directly by Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson about the rumors, Bradley Cooper responded, "No. Oh my God, that’s so nuts!"

It isn't really nuts when you consider how the Bradley Cooper rumors got started in the first place. During a recent BBC interview, the actor sounded rather enthusiastic when asked about portraying Armstrong. He said, "I would be interested in that. I think he’s fascinating. What a fascinating character." However, that didn't turn out to mean it was going to happen.

Cooper explained that the Lance Armstrong question came "out of the blue" during the BBC interview, and he answered honestly without realizing the firestorm of excitement his answer would cause. Armstrong recently confessed to using performance-enhancing substances, an offense that stripped him of his seven Tour de France victories, banned him from the sport for life and even made him fodder for 'SNL.'
