Bradley Cooper 'I don't drink or do drugs anymore'

Bradley Cooper, People magazine’s 2011 Sexiest Man Alive chooses to live a healthy life. His alcohol filled lifestyle in his 20’s makes his life now appear much tamer.

The Hangover 2 star sat down with The Hollywood Reporter and revealed his past of drugs and alcohol. His cover story in The Hollywood Reporter hits newsstands on September 14.

Cooper tells the story of the night he spent in the hospital. “I was at a party, and deliberately bashed my head on the concrete floor. Like, ‘Hey look how tough I am’. I did it again. I spent the night at St. Vincent’s Hospital with a sock of ice waiting for them to stitch me up.”

This is just one of the many stories Cooper shares. He stated that it was stories like these that lead to his decision to live a healthier lifestyle. He gave up his wild booze filled nights for the calm, sober life he lives now.

Cooper even reveals a time when he was insecure and thought he was ruining his life. “I was so concerned what you thought of me, how I was coming across, how I would survive the day. I always felt like an outsider. I just lived in my head. I realized I wasn’t going to live up to my potential and that scare the hell out of me. I thought wow I’m actually going to ruin my life. I’m really gonna ruin it.”

Fans of the sexy star can catch him in the movie The Words. He can current girlfriend Zoe Saldana star in this movie about a writer who becomes a huge success using other peoples words. The Words hits theaters September 7.
