Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie signed a $270 million pre-nup before their rumored 2013 Christmas wedding, according to a report in the International Business Times on Oct 21. The “World War Z” actor and the “Kung Fu Panda 3” actress have six children together. This will be Pitt’s second marriage and Jolie’s third.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie met on the set of the film “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” in 2005, while Pitt was still married to his ex, Jennifer Anniston. The “Fight Club” star supposedly asked his lawyers to compose a 101 page prenuptial agreement, which states that Brad will keep his estimated $150 million, and Angelina will retain her reported $120 million in property and assets.
While this persuasion by Brad may be unromantic, it is a clever financial decision should something unfortunate happen and the pair divorce.
… Brad and Angelina have been married before so they know how messy a divorce can get … It's even more important this time because there are children involved and Brad wants them to cover all eventualities … He's a romantic guy, but also very practical, and given they're worth $270 million between them, with six children and a lot of property across the globe, it definitely makes sense," the source continued on to say.
They love the idea of a Christmas wedding at their French home, Chateau Miraval, with a big roaring fire and lots of festive decorations," the source confided.
Brangelina will reportedly have a wedding ceremony on Jolie’s mother’s favorite beach in Hawaii and then will have a reception party at their home in France.
[A wedding at] Hawaii means that her mother can be a part of a small ceremony on her favourite beach … the main event will be a wintery-themed bash in France with all of their closest friends and family,” the source explained.
