According to TMZ on Thursday, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie finally got married secretly last weekend. After being together for many years and six kids later, they said, "I do" in a small private ceremony at Chateau Miraval, which they own in France. The A-list stars got engaged in April 2012, and now two years later, they are officially husband and wife.
A spokesman for the couple said the private, nondenominational civil ceremony was attended by family and friends. All six kids took part in the wedding. Jolie was walked down the aisle by her oldest sons Pax and Maddox, while Zahara and Vivienne were flower girls, and Shiloh and Knox served as ring bearers. Pitt and Jolie exchanged rings designed by her jewelry design partner Robert Procop and obtained a marriage license from a California judge. That was the same judge they flew to France to conduct their wedding in France. Pitt was seen on Thursday promoting his next movie and wearing a wedding band.
People magazine reminds us that the two have being talking about getting married since 2006. They said they wouldn't get married until "everyone else in the country" had the right to get married. They had also said the children were talking them into getting married so they could have a big party.
The power couple met in 2005 while on set of "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" where they got married in the film. This is the third marriage for Jolie, 39, who was previously married to actor Jonny Lee Miller and actor Billy Bob Thornton. This is the second marriage for Pitt, 50, who was married to actress Jennifer Aniston when he met Jolie.
