Country superstar Brad Paisley is stepping onto the small screen in an upcoming episode on CBS' hit TV show "The Crazy Ones." Set for April 3, the episode is humorously titled “Danny Chase Hates Brad Paisley."
The show stars Robin Williams (as Simon) and James Wolk (as Zach), who promises Danny Chase (played by Josh Groban) that his new jingle will feature Paisley.
Sarah Michelle Gellar also stars on the show.
The 22-episode first season wraps on April 17. No word has been released on the show's future.
Previously, Paisley appeared on the hit drama Nashville, an inside look at the politics and underpinnings of Music City. Most recently, he played himself on the Jan. 29 episode called "It’s All Wrong, But It’s All Right" and he inducted character Juliette Barnes (played by Hayden Panettiere) into the Grand Ole Opry. Also, the West Virginia native's wife Kimberly Paisley starred on the show in a small role, as Peggy Kenter.
“It’s a little odd, having Kim on there playing somebody else,” Paisley told Parade Magazine of the experience. “I can’t watch it. It is really good, but it’s disturbing to me, too close to what I do. It’s like if I was in the CIA, I don’t know if I’d watch ‘Homeland.’ But I’m not, so I do.”
