The Fifth Assassin weaves a story about a killer re-creating the crimes of four historical Presidential assassins from John Wilkes Booth to Lee Harvey Oswald. Meltzer brings back Beecher White, the hero of The Inner Circle for this latest thriller.

According to publisher Grand Central Publishing, “Historians brand them (the assassins) as lone wolves. But what if they were wrong? Beecher is about to discover the truth that during the course of 100 years, all four successful Presidential assassins were secretly working together.”

Meltzer is known for his thrillers, but also has created such varied works as the non-fiction books Heroes for My Son and Heroes for My Daughter as well as his award-winning writing of Justice League of America.
