President Barack Obama filled out his brackets for the NCAA men’s and women’s basketball tournaments on Tuesday, according to a WhiteHouse.gov report on Wednesday. The president has put Louisville, Michigan State, Florida, and Arizona to head to the Final Four.
President Obama joined ESPN’s Andy Katz on Tuesday night to do Katz’ annual “Barack-etology” segment on the sports network.
For those who are new to “bracketology,” it is the method of predicting the field of the NCAA Basketball Tournament, named “bracketology” because it is commonly used to fill in tournament brackets for the postseason. It includes some method of predicting what the NCAA Selection Committee will use as its Ratings Percentage Index in order to determine at-large (non-conference winning) teams to complete the field of 68 teams. The brackets rank the teams from number one through 68.
