BPD seeks suspect in Allston store robbery

The Boston Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a man wanted in connection with the armed robbery of a convenience store in the Allston area on Tuesday evening.

Officers from District D-14 responded to a call of an armed robbery at the Neighborhood Market at 57 Franklin St. at approximately 9:22 p.m. Store employees said that two individuals entered the store and one displayed a firearm and demanded money. There was no information regarding how the suspects fled the scene or in which direction.

The suspect who displayed the firearm is described as a black male with a slight beard, approximately 40 years of age and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and winter cap with earflaps.

The BPD is asking anyone with information about the case to contact District D-14 detectives at 617-343-4256. Information can also be sent by calling CrimeStoppers at 1-800-494-TIPS or by texting the information with the subject line “TIP” to “CRIME” (274463. Information that leads to the arrest and conviction of a wanted individual is eligible for a cash reward.

In other BPD news, officers are also seeking information on a fatal shooting of a female in the Roslindale area.

On Tuesday at approximately 6:55 p.m., officers responded to a call for a death investigation at 28 Fawndale Road and found a 34-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead on the scene. Her identity was not disclosed.

Boston homicide detectives are actively investigating the incident.
