"Boys" and "Girls" fight for your weekend attention (Photos)

"Boys" and girls will be in town this weekend.

Tonight Chad Michaels from "RuPaul's Drag Race" will join Heklina for a salute to Cher. And if you've seen or know of Michaels, he's is Cher! He admits to a few plastic surgeries to look more like the gay icon.

So he naturally is the best queen to be a special guest at the Trannyshack Cher Tribute at DNA Lounge. You can buy tickets (LIMITED NUMBER) for $25 and you can join in a meet and greet with Cher...err....I mean Chad Michaels at 9pm followed by the show. Or you can get a show ticket only and attend the event only for $15.

To get more information and advanced tickets, go to www.trannyshack.com.

If you prefer more of a man/man weekend vs. a lady/man, perhaps prior to the Trannyshack event you might enjoy some boys. "Jersey Boys" that is.

The Tony winner for Best Musical has returned to San Francisco with a vengeance at the Curran Theatre through April. For those who shy away from jukebox musicals, this has an actual story of how the Four Seasons started and how the men bonded like brothers. While the music is wholesome, a lot of the story is gritty. But what do you expect from guys from Jersey. A full review will run next week albeit a tad late.

But no matter what - for the GLBT market - these boys are awfully good to look at - especially if you like them rugged and Italian. They are talented to boot. Get more information, full schedule and tickets at www.shnsf.com.

CAAMFest continues through the weekend. There are two chances to see "Sunset Stories," an interesting tale showing various parts of LA about ex-lovers in search of a cooler. For real. When you see the movie, you will understand the relevance of the cooler. It did very well at OutFest earlier this year and will likely wow San Francisco as well. It plays tonight at the Pacific Film Archive in the East Bay at 9:10pm and Sunday night at the Castro at 7pm.

Another CAAMFest highlight is "Someone I Used to Know," which plays tonight at 9:15pm in San Francisco but with rush tickets only! This is the tale of three high school friends that grow apart and meet for a reunion of sorts where secrets are uncovered, including one of them comes out of the closet. Sort of. He might still be in there a tad, but he's obviously choking on a hanger and about ready to admit to all.

To get more information on both movies and more (and to seek out other screenings), go to www.caamedia.org.
