Boyfriend charged in murders of mom, 5-year-old daughter

Family members confronted Michael C. Brady, 34, of Teaneck, yesterday after not being able to reach 40-year-old Tam Marie “Tammy” Pitts-Gaddy for nearly a day, Molinelli said this afternoon, in announcing Brady’s arrest.

As a result, Brady accompanied them to Pitts-Gaddy’s home, where she lived with little Natasia, and “acted as if he discovered the bodies when he entered through the window,” the prosecutor said.

“The ensuing investigation conducted by detectives of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, Major Crimes Unit and the Englewood Police Department revealed the following: Tammy Pitts-Gaddy had been in a dating relationship with Michael Brady for the past three years. During that time he intermittently resided with her and Natasia, who was not his biological child.

“When not sleeping at Pitt-Gaddy’s Englewood residence, Brady stayed at his parent’s residence in Teaneck.

“It is alleged that during the early morning hours of Monday … Pitts-Gaddy and Brady had an altercation during which Michael BRADY stabbed her. It is believed the child witnessed the altercation and stabbing, and that Brady smothered her to death by holding a plastic bag over her head. READ MORE....
