The cast members of the show “Boy Meets World” have been pushed back into the spotlight thanks to the Disney reboot of the show. “Girl Meets World” will follow Cory and Topanga’s daughter as she goes through life and, although there will be some cameos from the original cast, so far Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel are the only two have signed on for reoccurring roles. That leaves many fans of “Boy Meets World” to wonder what happened with the other cast members. Many of them have continued working and, on Sunday, Rider Strong (who played Shawn Hunter) is getting married!
According to an October 18 report, Rider Strong will marry Alexandra Barreto and the two have picked an unusual theme for their nuptials. The two have put together a camping themed wedding complete with games, a talent show, and sleeping in bunks. Even though it is an odd theme for a wedding, it is clear that Rider Strong and Alexandra Barreto plan on having fun while saying, “I do.”
It seems that materialism isn’t a common theme in their wedding or even their life. While most women expect to receive a huge diamond ring when popped the question, Rider Strong went the more unconventional route and handmade the ring for Alexandra Barreto.
Rider Strong explained, “I spent weeks making the ring in secret. I carved the ring out of wax, cast it in white gold and had my dad make a wooden ring box for me. My dad made my mom's ring, so I was following in his footsteps."
It sounds like the kind of love story fans would have watched on “Boy Meets World,” but this is actually real life. So, women who wanted a love like Cory and Topanga’s will now hope to find a man as romantic as Rider Strong as well.
