“Boy Meets World” has always been a loved show. Even after it ended, fans still watched reruns and hoped for a cast reunion one day. Disney will revamp the show with “Girl Meets World,” but not all of the cast members will reprise their role. Luckily, the cast got together for Entertainment Weekly’s reunion issue and reminisced about old times, according to an October 18 report.
Much of the entire cast reunited for the magazine, including both actresses who portrayed Morgan Matthews over the years. Both Lily Nicksay and Lindsay Ridgeway were there for the reunion, however notably missing were the actors who played Jack, Rachel, and Angela.
Ben Savage talked about the show saying, “People saw it from the very beginning, when Cory and Topanga were hanging out and playing basketball with a pair of socks. The Cory-Topanga relationship is something that’s very special to people who grew up with the show.”
Danielle Fishel recently talked about a text between her and Ben Savage saying, “"Are you ready to be my wife again?" said @BenSavage via text when news of GMW broke.”I never stopped" was my reply. Together forever.”
The relationship is very special to viewers who will watch Ben Savage reprise his role of Cory Matthews on “Girl Meets World.” Danielle Fishel will also reprise her role of Topanga. The show will follow their fictional daughter as she goes through life, much like Cory did on “Boy Meets World.”
Many of the original cast members are expected to make cameo appearances on “Girl Meets World.” It will be interesting to see which actress would play Morgan if the role were to be reprised. Lily Nicksay (who played Morgan the first two seasons of the show) did express interest when “Girl Meets World” was initially announced.
