Boy killed by dad's plow: Six-year-old struck by plow driven by father

Tragedy strikes in sometimes the most horrific ways, and that is no different in this story. A young boy was killed on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, after being struck by a plow truck being driven in Maine. While that is awful enough, the truly horrible part of this entire story is that the plow truck was being driven by the boy's father per the Morning Sentinel.

Six-year-old Nathan Capponi died on Wendesday at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston according to a statement released by Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland.

"The boy was on a scooter playing in his driveway as his father was backing up the truck," McCausland said in the release.

Kevin Capponi was just about done plowing the snow out of his driveway when the accident occurred on Wednesday.

After striking young Nathan, the child was immediately rushed to the hospital by ambulance from his Quaker Ridge Road home around 6:45 a.m. on Wednesday. Nathan was hit by the pickup truck being driven by the 36-year-old Kevin Capponi.

The news is the news and sometimes it has to deal with politics and sometimes it has to deal with children. It could be about a natural disaster or whether the dollar is still worth the same in all countries. Whatever is going on though, Danny will let you know about it.
