Boy killed by dad's plow: Father didn't see his 6-year-old son in driveway

A boy killed by his dad's plow is making top news headlines today, as the NY Daily News reported this Thursday, March 21, that 6-year-old Nathan Capponi died in a tragic accident this morning after his father backed into him while driving a snow plow.

Under the headline, “6-year-old boy killed by dad’s plow in tragic accident in Maine”, the NY Daily confirmed today that police officials in Maine have said a young boy was killed after being hit by his father’s snow plow truck in their driveway. The child was said to be playing with his scooter, and his dad had not seen him.

Nathan Capponi was pronounced dead early this Wednesday after being transported to a local medical center. Although he was quickly taken by an ambulance, local officials said they were unable to revive him. They added his father, 36-year-old Kevin Capponi, hadn't noticed his son while finishing plowing snow in the driveway.

This tragic story of a boy killed by dad’s plow will hopefully at least bring to light the potential dangers of all types of vehicles and the importance of taking safety measures when operating machinery around young children.
