Police officials say the missing six-year-old boy was found hiding inside a box at his home's garage.

The search is on for Falcon Heene, 6, who according to his older brother, climbed into a 20'x 5' experimental helium balloon and floated away.

Earlier this morning, the boys were playing in the back yard when the Colorado boy, climbed into the balloon-powered aircraft that is used for weather experiments by the boys father, Richard. The balloon became untethered and rose and floated away, traveling in the air for about 2 hours, before landing in an open field with no one inside.

The parents Richard and Mayumi Heene appeared on the ABC's show "Wife Swap".   Richard is a storm chaser and a scientist and the whole family storm chase.

The reports came in earlier that it was Falcon, who is 6, that was in the balloon, but the Huffington Post reported it was Ryo, who is 8.

Many people in San Diego are talking on the internet on Twitter and blogs and are wondering if it is all a hoax, as it appears that the outside of the balloon has not been breached and that the balloon would not have been able to reach that altitude with the weight of the boy in it.

There's a sucker born every minute!
The whole Colorado State Police force got con by an amateur con man.
    He's a liar.
I'd bet my life savings on it.
    I put the odds 50 to 1
he set this whole thing up as a publicity stunt.
You can fool all the people some of the time,
and some of the people all the time,
but you cannot fool all the people all the time.
