Boy admits Kutcher prank: May be responsible for Bieber prank

A boy admits a Kutcher prank, reported MSN on March 11. The Los Angeles District Attorney's Office reported that a 12-year-old boy admitted to making a 911 call that brought police to the home of "Two and a Half Men" star Ashton Kutcher. The boy is responsible for making a false bomb threat and for computer intrusion, and he will be sentenced at a later date.

The practice is known as "swatting," and it is designed to draw police and SWAT team responses. In January 2013, for example, the home of Kris and Bruce Jenner was targeted. "Just got a call from my mom telling me about this prank call that someone was shot in their home & 15 swat team & 3 helicopters showed up!," Kim Kardashian had tweeted.

The boy admits the Kutcher prank. However, fake 911 calls involving the home of Justin Bieber and a bank are additional crimes the boy is accused of and will be considered during his sentencing.
