A 15-year-old boy was in critical condition after being shot in the face early Friday morning at a DeKalb County home, and police said they have detained the 17-year-old they believe shot him.
And his alleged shooter, Mr. Jacob Christmas, faces an aggravated assault charge, police spokesman Capt. Steven Fore said.
The teen was among at least four teens at the home at 1084 Hillcrest Drive when the shooting happened around 2:30 a.m., police said. And according to media reports, two adults and a 7-year-old were also inside the home.
Police said the suspect entered the home and shot the 15-year-old, then left. The 17-year-old was arrested a short time later at his home, which is nearby the crime scene.
Capt. Fore said the shooting stem from an ongoing dispute, but he did not know the details about the dispute.
Mr. Christmas is expected to be transported to the DeKalb County jail after being questioned.
