On August 23, 2014, B96, the Illinois Sports Facility Authority, Round 3 Productions and Hitz Boxing team up to produce a live boxing event, The B96 Boxing Bash at U.S. Cellular Field. The second year this event will be held in at the ballpark following the success of last year's event which featured Andrzej Fonfara and Gabriel Campillo as the main event.

This is the second time professional boxing will take place at the ballpark, with last year marking the inaugural event. The main event for the evening will be super middleweights Donovan George 25 (KO 22) - 4 (KO 2) - 2 out of Chicago taking on Dyah Davis 22 (KO 10) - 4 (KO 1) - 1 of Florida. The boxers will be fighting it out in a 12 round contest for the currently vacant International Boxing Organization World Super Middleweight Title.

The undercard also promises to be charged with two rematches in the line up, all fighters out of Chicago. Sergio Montes de Oca (7-2-2, 2KOs) will once again face off with Fidel Navarette (5-0-2, 3KOs) and Rick Ramirez (4-0-1, 1KO) will once again meet Roy Navarro (6-1, 3KOs). Rounding out the undercard, all fighting out of Chicago in separate bouts, are Frank Scalise (87-1, 8KOs), Genaro Mendez (7-2-1, 4KOs), Mike Jimenez (14-0, 10KOs) and Will Coix (2-0, 2KOs).

Turning the baseball stadium into a boxing arena will put the ring behind home plate with the fights being called from the batter's box. A fun and unique experience for boxing fans! It is hoped that a successful event will make outdoor boxing events more of a mainstay in the sport, with last years' event being the first major outdoor Chicago match up since September of 1962 when heavyweights Sonny Liston and Floyd Patterson fought the first round when the fight was won by Liston via knock-out at Comiskey Park.

Tickets are currently available on Ticketmaster for the event and range in price from $25 to $150. The doors will open at 6 p.m. with bouts beginning at approximately 7 p.m.
