Boxer Omar Henry passes away one week short of birthday

Boxing prospect Omar Henry had a goal of becoming the undisputed champion of the world. He also had hopes of living to celebrate his 26th birthday. Sadly, he did not reach either goal.
Henry passed away after his short battle with cancer. The discovery came about last November when he had to pull out of a scheduled ShowTime fight due to what he thought was an illness.

It turns out he was living with stage 4 GallBladder Cancer.
With a professional record of 12-0-1 Henry was showing signs of one day becoming a world champion. During his battle with cancer Henry showed strength through his faith despite the pain his body felt during the day-to-day struggle with the disease. Living life one day at a time would be his process to healing. Celebrating his 26th birthday would be his goal. Next Friday would have been his birthday.
