What movie did you go catch in theaters this weekend? Theaters have not been very popular this summer. Despite four new additions added to the Box Office this past weekend, theaters were kind of quite. New at the movies are “Lucy,” “Hercules,” “And So It Goes,” and “A Most Wanted Man.” On Monday, the Box Office updated their charts to feature the top 10 movies of the weekend.

Luc Besson’s “Lucy” took the top spot from “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.” The brain power film, starring Scarlett Johansson and Morgan Freeman, opened to an estimated $44 million. With a production budget of $40 million, a profit is already in the making for this farfetched film.

Debuting in second place is “Hercules,” starring Dwayne Johnson. “Hercules” premiered with $29 million domestically, for a worldwide total of $57.7 million. This is not the total production was shooting for, especially Johnson, who was very proud of portraying this role.

The other two debuts this weekend, “And So It Goes” and “A Most Wanted Man,” found themselves at the bottom of the top 10 countdown. Below is the complete list of the top 10 movies for the weekend of Friday, July 25, through Sunday, July 27.
