Catch any good movies this weekend? New to theaters this Friday were “If I Stay,” “When the Game Stands Tall,” and “Frank Miller’s Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.” Were the Ninja Turtles able to hold on to their number one spot? On Monday, the Box Office updated their charts to feature the top 10 movies of the weekend.

Underserving heroes, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” stole the crown from “Guardians of the Galaxy” for a couple of weeks. Now, the real champs are back as “Guardians of the Galaxy” retakes the number one spot with $17.6 million. This brings their worldwide total to $489.5 million, ranking at number 10 for Marvel Comic films.

New debut “If I Stay” made it to number three with $16.3 million. Sport film “When the Game Stands Tall” didn’t score as well and only reached number five with $9 million. Both ranks are better though than number eight, which is where “Frank Miller’s Sin City: A Dame to Kill For” landed with $6.4 million. Below is the complete chart of the top 10 movies for the weekend of Friday, August 22, through Sunday, August 24.
