Bowling personality Mike Weekley to hold new clinic Sunday

He’s bowled back-to-back 300 games.

He’s rolled two certified 800 series.

He blistered a 768 series bowling in a scratch league last week at Mission Hills Bowl, highlighted by a sizzling 285 in his second game.

He’s a drummer with Fire Radio as he combines a Rock Star persona with a smooth and explosive bowling style.

And Sunday, 30-year-old Mike Weekley will hold a two-hour youth and adult bowling clinic at AMF Woodlake Lanes in Woodlake Hills, beginning at 10 a.m.

The title for Sunday’s course: “Backswing, Targeting and Spares.”

“It’s for all ages,” Weekley said. “We’re going to be focused on footwork and the approach -- synchronized with the swing. This will lead to improved targeting and accuracy.”

The cost is $15; for those 18 and under, it will be $12.

Weekley, who also offers personal lessons and is receiving rave reviews for his coaching skills, held a clinic in January that focused on bowling fundamentals.
